I recently remade my home on the IndieWeb under BearBlog, and am trying to get back into reading and writing with consistency, as well as trying to improve my digital art and embroidery skills!
I got a new kitten in June and he’s so fun. I won free adoption for him! An absolute sweetheart.
August was my one year anniversary of being with the first person my mostly-aromantic ass has ever truly loved and I feel super lucky to have them.
I started my freshman year of college in late August as a religious studies major. I am 25, but never was able to attend before now due to chronic depression caused by a severe hormone sensitivity. I got treatment in July for it and it worked wonderfully; I’m having surgery for those issues on September 11 to make the effects of the treatment permanent. A little nervous about the surgery because of my hEDS, but whatever. It will help me attend school and get me closer to my life goals overall, so it’s worth it. My depression went from a constant nine out of ten absolute crisis mode at all times to only 3/10 and I am very much enjoying having less depression!
I started attending meetings of the Religious Society of Friends/Quakers last week (August 30 2026) and am now officially working towards becoming a member.
I did some tech projects no one else has been able to figure out before, so that was fun. I’m proud of what I have learned about self-hosting and web development since I began this journey in 2024.
I tried to learn how to ride a tricycle and realized that Vehicles Of Any Sort are not for me. So I'm finally beginning navigating the world using Uber, and doing things on my own when I can (previously I have been in too much pain to do a lot of things, but I am treating it better now.) Being able to have more autonomy has been good for me.
I think that’s it for now!
